French progressive death metal visionaries EPITAPHE are set to release their highly anticipated third full-length album, "III", on September 11 through Aesthetic Death (CD + LP) and Gurgling Gore (MC).
"III" refines, expands and elevates every defining element of its predecessors into a collection of compositions that is both more immersive and more emotionally compelling.
The album pushes the band's death metal foundation to new extremes, embracing an even harsher, darker and more unforgiving sound without sacrificing the sophistication that has become synonymous with EPITAPHE. Counterbalancing its crushing weight are exquisitely crafted acoustic passages and richly atmospheric interludes that paint vivid sonic landscapes.
Rather than relying on a predictable contrast between moments of aggression and restraint, "III" unfolds with an organic, narrative flow, allowing each composition to evolve naturally and reveal new layers over repeated listens. Every transition serves a purpose, every melody contributes to the wider emotional arc, and every arrangement reflects a meticulous attention to detail. The result is an album of exceptional scope and cohesion, confirming EPITAPHE as one of the most artistically significant acts in today's extreme metal landscape.
"III" was recorded by James Leonard at Mémoire Mécanique Studio and Pentachrome Wave Studio, before being mixed by James Leonard and mastered by Greg Chandler at Priory Recording Studios. The album artwork features "Spring Frost", a striking painting by acclaimed Finnish artist Petri Ala-Maunus, perfectly complementing the record's immersive atmosphere and profound sense of scale.

I'm pleased to announce that 2023's "Chthonic" is finally available on vinyl.
Over their 13 year existence - encompassing four albums - MESMUR have become widely respected within the funeral doom/death scene.
Originally released on digi CD in 2023 - along with Solitude Prod - and long since sold out. "Chthonic" strikes a balance between melody and dissonance, amidst it's haunted imagery. Crushing doom riffs are overlain with ethereal synths and cavernous vocals. Building a dark and vivid atmosphere.
"Chthonic" is available now - in standard LP sleeve - on smoky gold vinyl - with printed inner sheet.

Funeral atmospheric doom act - FUNERAL CHASM - are currently adding the finishing touches to their new album.
Carved in the mould of "Omniversal Existence" - the new album sees the band progressing, yet managing to retain the ambience and unique style of the debut into these new recordings.

Aesthetic Death is very pleased to announce an ongoing collaboration with funeral doom act - Destruction Of Orion.
Born from an undeniable calling to channel emotion, through the expression of atmospheric crushing doom.
Destruction of Orion create a deep and intense funeral doom that conjures memories from the zenith of the Finnish scene (Colosseum, Tyranny etc…)
Yet manage to transcend the past, bringing unique patterns of beauty, chaos and visceral emotion through each track.
Destruction Of Orion have created albums whose inner turmoil resonates deeply. Few doom bands can create sorrow that is so inescapably authentic. A lived experience of pain and anguish.
Recording of the third album is underway, with a release tentatively planned for the autumn.
Mournful, harrowing, bleak and beautiful. This is funeral doom of undeniable genius.

I'm very pleased to be releasing the vinyl edition of “Adrift”, the latest album by US funeral doom metal band SUTRATMA, on May 15, 2026.
Originally issued on CD in late 2025, “Adrift” now receives its long-awaited LP version, the vinyl counterpart to the band’s nautical-themed, melodic funeral doom opus. The album expands on SUTRATMA’s established sound, combining crushing weight and slow-burning atmospheres with a more pronounced sense of melody and dynamic depth.
