There's a particular delicious element embedded deep in Grava's raw sludge heaviness that manages to bypass the ears and applies straight to the brain, as if it resonates with some primal part of the instinct. This doesn't mean Weight of a God is simple, rather it's concentrated and focused - all unnecessary elements that didn't contribute to Grava's vision have simply been omitted. The result is a surprisingly broad and full sound from a band with only three members - massiveness across the entire spectrum. At just below 30 minutes, Weight of a God is perhaps at first sight a short album, but it's still a proper journey - a tremendous amount of power is packed within and unleashed upon the listener from the first second onwards.
