Calliophis was founded in 2007 and is based in Leipzig/Germany. Over the years the band have forged its own version of melodic Death Doom, with a strong focus on intense, mournful and atmospheric songs. The tracks are slow, heavy battlefields where epic melodies collide with dark soundscapes. Lyrics are sometimes inspired by international fables and myths.
